Replacing the front wiper blades on your Equinox is a quick maintenance job. Fresh blades improve visibility in rain and reduce streaking, skipping, and chatter on the windshield.
Difficulty Level: Beginner | Estimated Time: 10-15 minutes
⚠️ Safety & Precautions
- Keep the wiper arms from snapping back onto the glass. They can crack the windshield.
- Work with the ignition off so the wipers do not move unexpectedly.
- If the arms are spring-loaded and stiff, hold them firmly while swapping blades.

- Pull lightly on the blade to make sure it is locked in.
Step 4: Repeat on the other side
- Replace the passenger-side blade the same way using the correct size.
- Make sure the driver and passenger blades are not swapped.
Step 5: Lower the wiper arms
- Carefully lower both arms back onto the windshield.
- Do not let them drop hard onto the glass.
