Step-by-step service-position instructions, blade sizes (24"/18"), tools list, and safety tips

š§ CX-30 - Front Wiper Blade Replacement
Replacing the front wiper blades restores clear visibility and prevents streaking or skipping in rain. On your CX-30, itās easiest (and safest for the hood) to put the wipers into a āservice positionā before lifting the arms.
Difficulty Level: Beginner | Estimated Time: 0.25-0.5 hours
ā ļø Safety & Precautions
- ā ļø Donāt lift the wiper arms without service position; they can hit the hood edge.
- ā ļø Donāt let a bare wiper arm snap onto the glass; it can crack the windshield.
- ā ļø Keep fingers clear of the hinge; the spring tension is strong.
- š Battery disconnect is not required.

- Hold the armādonāt let it snap back.
Step 3: Install the new wiper blade
- Compare the new blade to the old one (length and connector style should match).
- Slide the new blade onto the arm connector until it clicks or locks in place.
- Gently tug the blade with your hand to confirm itās fully latched.
Step 4: Repeat for the passenger side
- Use the same process to replace the passenger-side blade.
Step 5: Return the wipers from service position
- Lower both wiper arms back onto the windshield carefully.
- Turn the ignition ON and briefly operate the wipers (or turn ignition ON then OFF) to let them park back to their normal resting position.
ā After Repair
