🔧 Front Windshield Wipers - Blade Replacement
Your Golf uses a simple hook-style wiper blade setup, so this job is quick and beginner-friendly. The main goal is to swap both front blades and make sure they lock in properly so they clear the windshield cleanly in rain.
Difficulty Level: Beginner | Estimated Time: 0.5-1 hour
⚠️ Safety & Precautions
- Turn the ignition off before moving the wiper arms.
- Put the wipers in service position so they lift away from the glass. Service position is the raised service mode that lets you work on the blades safely.
- Keep the bare wiper arm from snapping back onto the windshield. It can crack the glass.
- Do not let the metal arm touch the windshield while the blade is removed.
- No battery disconnect is required.
