š Before You Begin
- Park your Camry on level ground and turn the ignition OFF.
- Lift each wiper arm up until it holds itself away from the windshield.
- Lay a microfiber towel on the windshield under the wiper arm area.
šØ Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Lift the wiper arm
- Use your hands to gently lift one wiper arm away from the windshield until it stays up.
- Place the microfiber towel on the glass under the arm.
Step 2: Release the old blade from the J-hook
- Most Camry front wipers use a J-hook attachment (a hook-shaped end of the metal arm).
- With your fingers, press the small release tab on the blade where it meets the hook.
- If the tab is tight, use a flathead screwdriver (small) to gently press the tab. Donāt pry hardātabs can snap.
- Slide the blade downward (toward the base of the arm) to unhook it, then pull it off.
Step 3: Install the new blade
- Remove the new blade from the packaging and confirm it matches the old one in length.
- Align the new bladeās connector with the J-hook.
- Slide it into place until you hear/feel a click (the lock tab engages).
- Gently tug the blade by hand to confirm itās fully locked.
Step 4: Lower the arm safely
- Hold the wiper arm with your hand and slowly lower it onto the windshield.
- Remove the microfiber towel.
Step 5: Repeat for the other side
- Repeat Steps 1ā4 for the other front wiper blade.

- Top off the reservoir with windshield washer fluid if itās low.
- Start the car and test wipers on LOW, then HIGH, and use the washer spray.
- If you see streaks, clean the windshield with a towel and washer fluid, then retest.
- If a blade chatters or lifts at speed, re-check that it āclickedā fully onto the hook.
