š Before You Begin
- Park on level ground, shift to Park, and turn the ignition OFF.
- Lift each front wiper arm up away from the windshield.
- Place a clean microfiber towel on the windshield under the blade area as protection.
šØ Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Lift and protect the wiper arm
- Use a clean microfiber towel to cover the glass under the wiper blade.
- Carefully lift the wiper arm up until it stays up on its own.
- Tip: Hold the arm anytime itās unhooked.
Step 2: Remove the old blade from the J-hook
- With nitrile gloves on, rotate the blade so it sits perpendicular (a 90° angle) to the wiper arm.
- Find the small release tab/clip where the blade meets the hook.
- Press the tab with your thumb, then slide the blade down toward the open end of the hook to unclip it.
- Once free, remove the blade completely and set it aside.
Step 3: Install the new blade
- Compare the new blade length to the old one (driver is longer than passenger).
- Slide the new bladeās connector onto the wiper armās J-hook until it clicks/locks.
- Gently tug on the blade to confirm itās fully latched.
- Tip: If it doesnāt click, it isnāt locked.
Step 4: Lower the wiper arm safely
- Hold the wiper arm and lower it back onto the windshield gently.
- Remove the clean microfiber towel.
Step 5: Repeat for the other side
- Use the same process for the other front wiper blade.
- Use a step stool if needed for comfortable reach.
