🔧 TITAN XD - Front Windshield Wiper Blade Replacement

- ⚠️ Put a towel on the windshield while blades are off for protection.
- ⚠️ Turn the ignition OFF and wipers OFF before starting.
- âś… Battery disconnect is not required.

đź“‹ Before You Begin
- Park on level ground and switch the wipers OFF.
- Use a clean towel to cover the lower windshield area where the arms could drop.
- Use painter’s tape to mark where each blade parks on the glass (helps you notice if anything shifts).
🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Lift the wiper arms safely
- Put on work gloves and safety glasses.
- Lift the driver-side wiper arm away from the windshield until it stays up on its own.
- Place a clean towel on the windshield under the arm. This protects the glass if it drops.
Step 2: Remove the old wiper blade
- At the center where the blade meets the arm, find the release tab (a small latch on the connector).
- Press the tab with your thumb (use work gloves for grip).
- While holding the tab, slide the blade down and away from the hook-style end of the arm, then pull it off.
- If it feels stuck, wiggle gently while keeping the tab pressed. Don’t force it.
Step 3: Install the new wiper blade
- Compare the new blade to the old one to confirm the same length and connector style.
- Slide the new blade onto the wiper arm connector until you hear/feel a solid “click.”
- Gently tug on the blade (with work gloves) to confirm it’s locked in place.
Step 4: Lower the arm back onto the glass
- Carefully lower the wiper arm onto the windshield—do not let it drop.
- Remove the clean towel from the windshield.
Step 5: Repeat on the passenger side
- Repeat Steps 1–4 for the passenger-side blade.
- Use a step stool if you need safer reach.
âś… After Repair
- Start the truck and test the wipers on LOW speed, then HIGH speed.
- Use the washer spray to confirm the blades wipe clean without streaking or chattering.
- If you see smearing, clean the windshield with glass cleaner and a clean towel, then retest.
