š Before You Begin
- š æļø Park on level ground, shift to Park, and turn the ignition OFF.
- Place a microfiber towel on the windshield where each wiper arm will rest.
- Tip: Replace both blades as a pair.
šØ Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Put the wipers into āservice positionā
- Turn the ignition ON, then turn it OFF.
- Within about 10 seconds, press the wiper stalk down once (single wipe) and release.
- The wiper arms should move up and stop partway on the windshield (service position).
- If they donāt move up, repeat the ignition OFF step and try again.
Step 2: Lift the wiper arm safely
- Lift one wiper arm away from the windshield until it stays up.
- Keep the microfiber towel under the arm as a cushion.
Step 3: Remove the old blade (common Audi ātop-lockā style)
- Locate the small release tab/button at the connection where the blade meets the arm.
- Press the tab with your thumb. If itās stiff, gently help it with a small flat-blade screwdriver (do not pry hard).
- While holding the tab, slide the blade downward (toward the base of the arm) and off the arm.
Step 4: Install the new blade
- Align the new bladeās connector with the end of the wiper arm.
- Slide/push it into place until you hear/feel a solid āclick.ā
- Gently tug on the blade to confirm itās locked.
- Tip: Donāt touch the rubber edge with greasy gloves.
Step 5: Repeat on the other side
- Use the same steps for the second blade.
- Double-check you installed 24" on the driver side and 19" on the passenger side.
Step 6: Return the wipers to normal parked position
- Carefully lower both wiper arms back onto the windshield.
- Turn the ignition ON and briefly tap the wiper stalk (single wipe). The wipers should return to their normal parked position at the cowl.
ā After Repair
- Turn the ignition ON and test the wipers on low speed, then washer spray.
- If you see streaking, clean the windshield and blade edges with a microfiber towel.
- Verify both blades sit flat and donāt chatter or skip.
