- š¦ Open the new blades and confirm each oneās length matches the side youāre installing.
šØ Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Lift the wiper arm safely
- Use your hands (no tool) to lift one wiper arm away from the windshield until it stays up.
- Place the microfiber towel under the arm area as protection.
- Do one side at a time.
Step 2: Release the old blade from the J-hook
- Hold the wiper arm with one hand, and with the other hand rotate the blade so itās roughly perpendicular (a āTā shape) to the arm.
- Look where the blade attaches: itās a J-hook (a J-shaped metal hook on the arm that slides into the blade adapter).
- Press the small release tab on the blade adapter using your thumb. If itās tight, use a small flathead screwdriver to gently press the tab.
- Slide the blade down and out of the J-hook, then remove it completely.
Step 3: Install the new blade
- Confirm you have the correct side: Driver 22" or Passenger 21".
- Line up the J-hook with the opening in the new bladeās adapter.
- Slide the blade onto the hook until it clicks/locks.
- Gently tug on the blade (by hand) to confirm itās fully latched.
Step 4: Lower the arm and repeat on the other side
- Carefully lower the wiper arm back onto the windshield by handādonāt let it drop.
- Repeat Steps 1ā3 for the other front wiper blade.
Step 5: Quick function check
- Remove the microfiber towel.
- Turn ignition ON and briefly run the wipers with washer fluid to confirm smooth, quiet wiping.

- š If one blade chatters, confirm itās the correct length and fully clicked into the J-hook.
