🔧 Encore - Front Wiper Blade Replacement

📋 Before You Begin
- Park your Encore on level ground and turn the ignition OFF.
- Lift each wiper arm away from the windshield carefully.
- Place a microfiber towel on the glass under the wiper arm to protect it.
🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Lift the wiper arm safely
- Use your hands to lift the wiper arm until it stays up.
- Slide a microfiber towel under the arm on the windshield.
- Never let the bare arm hit glass.
Step 2: Remove the old wiper blade
- Rotate the wiper blade so it’s roughly perpendicular (90°) to the wiper arm.
- Look where the blade connects to the arm (the “adapter,” the small plastic connector).
- Press the release tab with your thumb; if it’s stubborn, use a small flat-blade screwdriver to gently press the tab.
- Slide the blade down and off the hook-style end of the arm.
Step 3: Install the new wiper blade
- Remove packaging and confirm you have the correct length for each side (driver is longer than passenger).
- Align the new blade adapter with the hook end of the wiper arm.
- Slide it into place until you hear/feel a solid “click.”
- Gently tug on the blade to confirm it’s locked on.
Step 4: Lower the arm and repeat for the other side
- Use your hand to guide the wiper arm back down onto the windshield slowly.
- Repeat Steps 1–3 for the other front wiper.
✅ After Repair
- Start the vehicle and test wipers on low speed with washer fluid.
- Check for skipping, streaking, or one side not wiping (usually means the blade isn’t fully clicked in).
- Wipe the windshield clean with glass cleaner for best results.
