- Park on level ground and turn the ignition OFF.
- Make sure the wipers are in their “parked” position (down at the base of the windshield).
- Place a microfiber towel on the windshield under the wiper arm area to protect the glass.
🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Lift the wiper arm
- Use your nitrile gloves and carefully lift one wiper arm away from the windshield until it stays up.
- Keep the microfiber towel under the arm area in case it slips. Hold the arm firmly.
Step 2: Remove the old wiper blade
- Use your hands to rotate the wiper blade so you can see where it attaches to the wiper arm (the J-hook).
- Press the small release tab/clip on the blade (usually near the hook).
- While holding the tab, slide the blade down and away from the hook until it comes off.
Step 3: Install the new wiper blade
- Use your hands to slide the new blade’s connector onto the wiper arm hook.
- Pull it upward until you hear/feel it click into place.
- Gently tug on the blade to confirm it’s locked on.
Step 4: Lower the wiper arm safely
- Use your hands to guide the wiper arm back down onto the windshield—do not drop it.
- Remove the microfiber towel.
Step 5: Repeat for the other side
- Use the same process for the other front wiper blade.
- Double-check you installed the correct lengths: Driver 26", Passenger 16".

- Test the wipers and washer spray.
- If the blades chatter or streak, clean the windshield with glass cleaner and wipe the blade rubber with a damp towel.
- Recheck that both blades are fully clicked into the wiper arms.
