- Lift each wiper arm carefully away from the windshield.
- Place a microfiber towel on the windshield where the arm could touch.
🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Position the wiper arms
- Use a step stool if needed to reach comfortably.
- Carefully lift the driver-side wiper arm up until it stays raised.
- Keep the microfiber towel under the arm area as protection.
Step 2: Remove the old wiper blade
- Put on nitrile gloves and safety glasses.
- Locate the connector where the blade meets the arm (usually a “J-hook” style hook).
- Press the small release tab on the blade connector with your thumb, then slide the blade down and off the hook.
- If it’s stuck, wiggle while pressing the tab.
Step 3: Install the new wiper blade
- Verify the new blade matches the old one in length and connector style before installing.
- Slide the new blade connector onto the wiper arm hook until it clicks/locks.
- Gently tug the blade to confirm it’s locked in place.
Step 4: Lower the wiper arm safely
- Hold the arm firmly and lower it onto the windshield slowly.
- Remove the microfiber towel.
Step 5: Repeat for the passenger side
- Repeat Steps 1–4 on the passenger-side blade.
