š Before You Begin
- Park your E-150 on level ground and turn the ignition off.
- Lift each wiper arm up away from the windshield until it stays up.
- Lay a shop towel on the lower windshield area as a cushion, just in case the arm drops.
šØ Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Remove the old driver-side wiper blade
- Lift the driver-side wiper arm up.
- Rotate the wiper blade so itās perpendicular to the wiper arm.
- Find the small locking tab where the blade connects to the arm (the āhookā style is most common on the E-150).
- Press the tab with your thumb; if itās stuck, gently help it with a small flathead screwdriver (3mm tip). Donāt pry hardājust depress the tab.
- Slide the blade down and out of the hook to remove it.
Step 2: Install the new driver-side wiper blade
- With the arm still lifted, align the new bladeās adapter with the hook on the wiper arm.
- Slide the hook into the adapter until you hear/feel a click.
- Lightly tug on the blade to confirm itās locked.
Step 3: Repeat on the passenger side
- Use the same process to remove and install the passenger-side blade.
- Use a shop towel to wipe the windshield edge where the blades park.
Step 4: Lower the wiper arms carefully
- Lower each arm back onto the windshield slowly by hand.
- Remove the shop towel from the windshield.

- Turn the ignition on and run the wipers on low speed to verify smooth wiping and no skipping.
- Test the washer spray and make sure the blades donāt chatter.
- If you see streaks, clean the windshield with glass cleaner and a shop towel, then retest.
