🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps in order:

Step 1: Remove the front door trim panel

• Use a 7mm socket and T20 Torx screwdriver to remove the door panel screws.
• Lift the panel upward to release it from the window ledge.
• Disconnect the electrical connectors for the window switch and any door accessories.
• Work slowly to avoid broken clips.

Step 2: Remove the water shield

• Use a trim tool or your fingers to peel back the vapor barrier carefully.
• Keep the adhesive clean so you can reseal it later.
• Do not tear the barrier.

Step 3: Secure the glass

Step 6: Install the new regulator

• Feed the new regulator into the door cavity and line up the mounting holes.

• Install the regulator bolts with a 10mm socket.
• Torque to factory specification.

Step 7: Reattach the glass

• Lower the taped glass carefully into the regulator clamps.
• Install the glass-to-regulator bolts with a 10mm socket.
• Torque to factory specification.
• Remove the tape and cycle the glass by hand only after everything is secured.

Step 8: Test window movement

• Reconnect the battery negative cable.
• Use the window switch to run the glass up and down several times.
• Watch for smooth travel, even sealing, and no clicking or binding.
• Stop immediately if the glass tilts.

Step 9: Reinstall the door panel

• Reconnect all electrical connectors.
• Press the vapor barrier back into place firmly.
• Hang the door panel on the window ledge, then press the clips into place.
• Reinstall the screws using a 7mm socket and T20 Torx screwdriver.
• Torque to factory specification.
