How to Replace Front Turn Signal Bulbs on a 2018 Hyundai Ioniq (Wheel-Well Access)
Step-by-step DIY instructions, required tools/parts, safety tips, and LED vs bulb troubleshooting

š§ Ioniq - Front Turn Signal Bulb Replacement
On your Ioniq, the front turn signal may be a replaceable amber bulb inside the headlamp, or it may be an LED unit that isnāt serviceable as a bulb. If itās a replaceable bulb, the job is usually done through the front wheel-well access panel and takes only a few minutes per side.
Quick check: When the turn signal is on, do you see a blinking bulb behind the headlamp lens (replaceable), or a crisp LED strip/module (usually non-serviceable)?
Difficulty Level: Beginner | Estimated Time: 0.3-0.8 hours
ā ļø Safety & Precautions
- ā ļø Turn the car OFF and keep the key/fob away from the vehicle so the lights canāt switch on while your hands are in the area.
- ā ļø Let the headlamp area cool if the lights were just on.
- ā ļø Avoid touching any orange high-voltage cables (you wonāt need to for this job).
- ā ļø Donāt touch the new bulb glass with bare fingers; skin oils can shorten bulb life.
- ā ļø Battery disconnect is not required for a normal bulb swap.

- Walk around the front and confirm the bulb is bright and amber.
