🔧 Front Turn Signal Bulbs - Replacement
Replacing the front turn signal bulbs means removing access to the front lamp housing, swapping the bulb, and confirming the signal flashes correctly. On your Stinger, this is a simple job if the front indicators use replaceable bulbs; if yours are factory LED, the bulb is not serviceable and the lamp assembly must be replaced.
Difficulty Level: Beginner | Estimated Time: 0.5-1 hour
⚠️ Safety & Precautions
- Turn the ignition off and let the lamps cool before touching them.
- Do not touch the glass of a halogen bulb with bare fingers; oil can shorten bulb life.
- Use a towel or gloves when handling the new bulb.
- If your Stinger has LED front indicators, the bulb cannot be replaced separately.
- No battery disconnect is required for this repair.

🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Open the hood and locate the headlamp access area
- Use the hood release inside the cabin, then lift the hood and secure it.
- Use a flashlight to find the rear of the headlamp area behind the front bumper cover.
Step 2: Remove the front access cover or air duct if equipped
- Use a flat trim tool to release any plastic push clips or covers blocking access.
- If a small duct or cover is held by fasteners, use the 10mm socket and 1/4-inch ratchet to remove it.
- Keep fasteners in a small tray.
Step 3: Reach the turn signal bulb socket
- Reach behind the headlamp housing and locate the turn signal bulb socket.
- Twist the socket counterclockwise by hand to remove it from the lamp housing.
Step 4: Replace the bulb
- Press the old bulb gently into the socket and turn it out, or pull it straight out if it is a wedge-style bulb.
- Install the new front turn signal bulb into the socket.
- Make sure it is seated fully and straight.
Step 5: Reinstall the socket and test
- Insert the socket back into the headlamp housing and twist clockwise to lock it.
- Turn on the turn signal and check for normal flashing on that side.
- If the bulb does not light, remove it and recheck the fit.
Step 6: Reinstall covers and repeat on the other side
- Reinstall any covers or ducts using the 10mm socket and 1/4-inch ratchet.
- Repeat the same steps on the opposite side if you are replacing both bulbs.
✅ After Repair
- Start the car and verify both front turn signals flash correctly.
- Check the hazard lights too.
- Look at each bulb from the front to confirm equal brightness.
- If the turn signal blinks fast, the bulb may not be seated correctly or may be the wrong type.
