š Before You Begin
- Park on level ground and set the parking brake.
- Open the hood and support it securely.
- Tip: Wear gloves for better grip.
šØ Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Access the back of the headlight
- Use a flashlight to look behind the headlight assembly (engine bay side).
- If the space is tight, remove the closest intake/air duct or cover.
- Remove push-clips using a trim clip removal tool.
- Remove any small bolts using a 10mm socket, 3/8" ratchet, and 3" extension.
- Tip: Set clips/bolts in one small cup.
Step 2: Remove the turn signal bulb socket
- Locate the turn signal socket on the back of the headlight (it will have a wiring connector going to it).
- Grip the socket firmly with nitrile gloves for traction.
- Twist the socket counterclockwise about 1/8ā1/4 turn, then pull it straight out.
- Tip: Twist first, then pullādonāt pry.
Step 3: Remove the old bulb
- Pull the bulb straight out of the socket (itās a wedge-style fit).
- If itās stuck, wiggle while pullingādo not use pliers on the glass/base.
Step 4: Install the new bulb
- Push the new 7440A amber bulb straight into the socket until fully seated.
- Tip: Donāt touch the bulb with dirty hands.
Step 5: Reinstall the socket and reassemble
- Insert the socket back into the headlight housing.
- Twist clockwise until it locks in place snugly.
- Reinstall any duct/covers you removed using a 10mm socket and trim clip removal tool.
Step 6: Repeat on the other side
- Replace the other front turn signal bulb the same way.
- Tip: Replacing in pairs keeps color/brightness matched.

- Turn the ignition to ON (engine can stay off) and test left and right turn signals.
- Turn on hazard lights and walk around to confirm both front signals blink evenly.
- If a bulb doesnāt light, remove the socket and re-seat the bulb fully.
- If it blinks fast, that usually means a bulb is out or not seated.
