Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Open the hood and find the bulb socket
- Open the hood and look behind the headlamp assembly on the side with the failed bulb.
- Find the turn signal bulb socket at the rear of the headlamp housing.
- Tip: The socket is usually the outermost bulb holder.
Step 2: Remove the bulb socket
- Use your hand to twist the bulb socket counterclockwise.
- If it is stuck, use a small flat blade screwdriver gently on the socket tab.
- Pull the socket straight out of the housing.
Step 3: Replace the bulb
- Twist the old bulb counterclockwise and remove it from the socket.
- Install the new bulb in the socket and twist it clockwise to lock it in place.
- Do not touch the glass part of the new bulb with bare fingers.

- Align the socket with the headlamp opening.
- Push it straight in, then twist clockwise until it locks.
- Make sure it sits fully seated and does not wobble.
Step 5: Test the turn signal
- Turn the ignition on.
- Activate the left or right turn signal and confirm the new bulb flashes correctly.
- If it does not work, remove the socket again and check bulb seating.
