🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Open access to the headlamp area
- Open the hood and locate the back of the headlamp assembly.
- If the access area is blocked, use a 10mm socket and ratchet to remove any small intake duct or cover in the way.
- Keep all fasteners in a tray.
Step 2: Remove the turn signal bulb socket
- Reach behind the headlamp and find the turn signal bulb socket.
- Use your hand to twist the socket counterclockwise and pull it straight out.
- If it is tight, use a flat-blade trim tool carefully for light leverage.
Step 3: Replace the bulb
- Twist the bulb out of the socket or pull it straight out, depending on the socket style.
- Install the new front turn signal bulb into the socket.
- Make sure it seats fully and matches the old bulb orientation.
- Do not touch the glass.
Step 4: Reinstall the socket
- Insert the socket back into the headlamp opening.
- Twist it clockwise until it locks.
- Reinstall any duct or cover you removed using the 10mm socket and ratchet.
Step 5: Test the repair
- Turn the ignition on.
- Activate the left and right turn signals one at a time.
- Check that both front bulbs flash normally and the dash indicator behaves correctly.
