š Before You Begin
- Park on level ground and set the parking brake.
- Turn the light switch to OFF and remove the key.
- Open the hood and use a flashlight to locate the back of each headlamp housing.
šØ Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Identify the turn signal bulb socket
- Use a flashlight and look behind the headlamp assembly.
- Find the socket that goes to the turn signal area (typically the amber section of the headlamp lens).
- Tip: Turn on hazards briefly to confirm.
- Turn hazards back OFF before removing anything.
Step 2: Remove the bulb socket from the headlamp
- Put on nitrile gloves and safety glasses.
- Grip the socket and rotate it about 1/4 turn counterclockwise by hand, then pull it straight out.
Step 3: Remove the old bulb from the socket
- Pull the bulb straight out of the socket by hand.
- If itās stuck, use a clean shop towel to improve grip and pull straight (donāt twist hard).
Step 4: Install the new bulb
- Using nitrile gloves, push the new bulb straight into the socket until fully seated.
- If you accidentally touch the glass, wipe it with a clean shop towel before installing.
Step 5: Reinstall the socket
- Insert the socket back into the headlamp housing.
- Rotate it about 1/4 turn clockwise by hand until it locks in place.
- Gently tug the socket to confirm itās secure.
Step 6: Repeat on the other side
- Repeat Steps 1ā5 for the opposite front turn signal.
- Tip: Replace both sides together for matching brightness.

- Turn ignition to ON and test left and right turn signals.
- Test hazard lights (all four corners should flash evenly).
- If one side flashes fast, re-seat the bulb and make sure the socket is fully locked.
