📋 Before You Begin
- Park on level ground and set the parking brake.
- Turn the headlight switch off.
- If replacing one bulb, it is still smart to replace both sides so they match.
🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Open the hood
- Use the hood release inside the cabin, then open the hood fully and secure it.
- Use a flashlight to look behind the headlamp area.
Step 2: Access the bulb socket
- Reach behind the headlamp assembly from the engine bay.
- Locate the turn signal bulb socket on the back of the headlamp housing.
- If access is tight, use a flat-blade screwdriver or trim panel removal tool to gently move any plastic retainers or covers out of the way.
Step 3: Remove the old bulb
- Twist the bulb socket counterclockwise by hand and pull it straight out.
- Remove the bulb from the socket by pulling it straight out if it is a push-in style.
- Do not force the socket.
Step 4: Install the new bulb
- Put on nitrile gloves before handling the new bulb.
- Push the new bulb into the socket until it seats fully.
- Insert the socket back into the headlamp housing and twist it clockwise to lock it in place.
Step 5: Test the turn signal
- Turn the ignition on.
- Activate the left and right turn signals one at a time.
- Make sure the new bulb flashes normally and matches the opposite side.

- Check that the headlamp cover and any clips are fully seated.
- Verify both front turn signals flash at the correct rate.
- If the bulb does not light, remove it and reinstall it once more to confirm it is fully seated.
