- Park on level ground and set the parking brake.
- Turn the headlight switch off and remove the key or shut the vehicle fully off.
- Open the hood.
- Work on one side at a time.
🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Open access to the bulb
- Open the hood and locate the back side of the headlamp assembly on the side you are servicing.
- Use a small flashlight to find the turn signal bulb socket near the outer corner of the headlamp.
- If a plastic intake duct or cover is blocking your hand, gently move it aside by hand or use a flat-blade trim tool carefully.
Step 2: Remove the bulb socket
- Grip the turn signal bulb socket and turn it counterclockwise by hand.
- Pull the socket straight out of the headlamp housing.
- Do not twist the wires.
Step 3: Replace the bulb
- Remove the old bulb from the socket.
- Install the new front turn signal bulb into the socket until it seats fully.
- Use a clean microfiber towel to keep the glass clean if needed.
Step 4: Reinstall the socket
- Align the socket with the opening in the headlamp housing.
- Push it in fully, then turn it clockwise by hand until it locks.
- It should feel snug, not forced.
Step 5: Test the new bulb
- Turn the ignition on.
- Activate the turn signal on the repaired side.
- Check that it flashes normally from the front and from the dash indicator.

- Verify the turn signal flashes at a normal speed.
- Check the other side too so both bulbs match in brightness and color.
- If the bulb does not work, remove the socket again and make sure the bulb is seated correctly.
- If the signal flashes very fast, the bulb may not be fully installed or may be the wrong type.
