🔧 Front Lower Ball Joints - Replacement
This job replaces the front lower ball joints on your Camry. On this chassis, the ball joint is part of the front suspension and affects steering feel, tire wear, and safety. If you hear popping over bumps or see play in the front wheel, this is a smart repair.
Difficulty Level: Advanced | Estimated Time: 3-5 hours
⚠️ Safety & Precautions
- Work on a level surface with the parking brake set.
- Use jack stands; never rely on the floor jack alone.
- Support the lower control arm before separating the ball joint so the suspension does not drop suddenly.
- Keep clear of the steering knuckle when the ball joint is released; it can move fast.
- If the vehicle has a staked or cotter-pinned joint nut, replace the retaining hardware.
