Step 1: Lift and secure the front
- Lift the front using a floor jack (rated 3-ton minimum) at the proper front jacking point.
- Set the truck onto jack stands (rated 3-ton minimum) and give it a gentle shake to confirm it’s stable.
Step 2: Remove the front wheels
- Remove the lug nuts with a 21mm socket and take both front wheels off.
- Set wheels aside under the frame as an extra safety backup.
Step 3: Locate the pad retaining pins and spring clip

Step 11: Reinstall the anti-rattle spring clip and retaining pins
- Position the spring clip back in place.

- Confirm both pins are fully seated and the spring clip is secure.
Step 12: Reinstall wheels and torque lug nuts
- Reinstall the wheels and hand-thread lug nuts.
- Lower the truck off the jack stands (rated 3-ton minimum) using the floor jack (rated 3-ton minimum).
- Tighten lug nuts in a star pattern with a 1/2" drive torque wrench (50-200 ft-lbs range): Torque to 203 Nm (150 ft-lbs).
