š§ 2500 - Taillight Bulb Replacement
Youāll remove each taillight housing, twist out the bulb sockets, and swap the bulbs. This is a straightforward job, but the exact bulb types can vary depending on whether your 2500 has standard incandescent bulbs or factory LED taillamps.
Difficulty Level: Beginner | Estimated Time: 0.5-1.0 hours
Quick question (so I can list the exact bulbs): Do you have factory LED taillights, or the standard bulb-type taillights? Also, which bulbs are you replacing: brake/turn, reverse, and/or parking/marker?
ā ļø Safety & Precautions
- ā ļø Turn the truck off and set the parking brake before starting.
- ā ļø Let bulbs cool before touching them (they can get hot).
- ā ļø Donāt force the taillight housingāpull straight back to avoid breaking the alignment pins.
- ā ļø Battery disconnect is not required for this repair.
