How to Replace Both Taillight Bulbs on a 2016 Toyota Tacoma
Step-by-step instructions with tools, parts, torque specs, and safety tips

🔧 Tacoma - Taillight Bulb Replacement
Replacing both rear taillight bulbs is a simple job. You’ll remove each tail lamp housing, swap the bulbs, then reinstall the lamps and test all rear lighting functions.
Assumption: This procedure is for bulb-type rear lamps, not LED-only lamps.
Difficulty Level: Beginner | Estimated Time: 0.5-1 hour
⚠️ Safety & Precautions
- Turn the ignition off before starting.
- Let the bulbs cool first if the lights were recently on.
- Use care when removing the lamp housing so the painted corners do not get scratched.
- Do not touch a new halogen bulb glass with bare fingers. Oil can shorten bulb life.
- No battery disconnect is required for this repair.
