🔧 Taillight Bulbs - Bulb Replacement
Assumption: your RAV4 uses replaceable rear lamp bulbs, not the factory LED-only tail lamp assembly. This job is straightforward and usually takes just a few minutes per side. The main goal is to remove the rear lamp access panel, swap the burned-out bulbs, and reinstall everything cleanly.
Difficulty Level: Beginner | Estimated Time: 0.5-1 hour
⚠️ Safety & Precautions
- Turn the lights off and let the bulbs cool before touching them.
- Do not touch new halogen bulbs with bare fingers; skin oil can shorten bulb life.
- If your RAV4 has LED rear lamps, the bulb may not be serviceable and the lamp assembly may need replacement instead.
- No battery disconnect is normally required for this repair.
