- Park on level ground and set the parking brake.

🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Open the tailgate and access the lamp fasteners
- Open the tailgate to expose the inner edge of the taillight housing.
- Use a 10mm socket, ratchet, and short extension to remove the lamp fasteners.
- Set the hardware aside in a safe spot.
Step 2: Remove the taillight assembly
- Use your hands to gently pull the taillight housing straight rearward.
- If it feels stuck, use a trim panel tool very carefully to help release the locating pins.
- Pull straight back to avoid broken tabs.
Step 3: Remove the bulb sockets
- Twist each bulb socket counterclockwise and pull it out of the housing.
- For the bulb you are replacing, press in slightly and turn the bulb counterclockwise to remove it from the socket.
- Use gloves to keep the new bulb clean.
Step 4: Install the new bulbs
- Install the new bulb into the socket and turn it clockwise until it locks.
- Reinsert the socket into the taillight housing and twist it clockwise to secure it.
- Make sure the socket seats fully so it does not leak or rattle.
Step 5: Reinstall the taillight assembly
- Align the locating pins and push the lamp housing straight into place.
- Reinstall the fasteners with the 10mm socket, ratchet, and short extension.
- Torque to snug fit only; do not overtighten the lamp fasteners.
Step 6: Repeat on the other side
- Perform the same procedure on the opposite taillight.
- Keep the left and right hardware separated so reassembly is easier.

- Check that both lamp housings sit flush with the body.
