🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps in order:

Step 1: Open the rear access area

• Open the liftgate and go to the rear lamp access area inside the cargo side trim.
• Use a flashlight to locate the bulb socket on each side.
• Work one side at a time.

Step 2: Remove the access cover

• Use a trim panel tool to gently pop off the small access cover behind the taillight.
• Set the cover aside so it does not get damaged.

Step 3: Remove the bulb socket

• Use your hand to twist the bulb socket counterclockwise.
• Pull the socket straight out of the lamp housing.
• Do not pull on the wires.

Step 4: Replace the bulb

• Press the old bulb in slightly and twist it out of the socket.
• Install the new bulb into the socket and twist it until it locks in place.
• Match the bulb shape before pushing it in.

Step 5: Reinstall the socket

• Insert the socket back into the taillight housing.
• Twist it clockwise until it seats fully.

Step 6: Test the new bulb

• Turn on the parking lights and press the brake pedal to confirm operation.
• Repeat the same steps on the other side.
