🔧 Headlight Bulbs - Replacement
On your Grand Cherokee, the bulb replacement method depends on whether the front lamps are halogen or HID/Xenon. The steps below cover the common halogen low-beam and high-beam bulb replacement path; if your lamps are HID, the low beam uses a different service procedure and bulb type.
Difficulty Level: Intermediate | Estimated Time: 0.5-1.5 hours
⚠️ Safety & Precautions
- Turn the headlights off and let the bulbs cool before touching them.
- Do not touch the glass on halogen bulbs with bare hands; skin oil can shorten bulb life.
- If your Grand Cherokee has HID/Xenon low beams, do not open the ballast area without disconnecting the battery.
- Keep the ignition off while working around the front lighting harnesses.
- Use a clean glove or paper towel when handling new bulbs.

Step 5: Install the new high beam bulb
