🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps in order:

Step 1: Open the hood

• Pull the hood release inside the cab, then lift and secure the hood.

Step 2: Access the rear of the headlamp

• Use a flat trim tool to help release any plastic fasteners or covers if needed for access.
• Reach behind the headlamp housing to the bulb socket.

Step 3: Remove the old bulb

• Twist the bulb socket counterclockwise by hand to unlock it.
• Pull the bulb/socket assembly straight out.
• Disconnect the electrical connector if it is separate.
• Do not force the connector.

Step 4: Install the new bulb

• Handle the new bulb by the base only.
• Reconnect the electrical connector if removed.
• Insert the bulb into the headlamp housing and twist it clockwise to lock it in place.
• Make sure the seal sits flat and fully seated.

Step 5: Repeat on the other side

• Use the same process on the opposite headlamp.
• Replace both bulbs together so the light output stays even.

Step 6: Test the lights

• Turn the headlights on and confirm both low beams work.
• Check that the beam pattern looks even on both sides.
