📋 Before You Begin
- Park on level ground and set the parking brake.
- Turn the headlight switch off.
- Open the hood and support it fully.
- Use a flashlight for the tight spaces.
🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Access the rear of the headlamp
- Open the hood.
- On each side, find the back of the headlight housing behind the bulb dust cover or access cap.
- If a plastic cover blocks access, use the trim tool to release it gently.
Step 2: Remove the old bulb
- Unplug the electrical connector from the bulb by pressing the lock tab and pulling straight back.
- Use your hand to twist the bulb socket counterclockwise and remove it from the housing.
- Pull the old bulb straight out of the socket.
Step 3: Install the new bulb
- Put on gloves before handling the new bulb.
- Insert the new bulb into the socket in the same position as the old one.
- Use your hand to twist the bulb socket clockwise until it locks in place.
- Reconnect the electrical connector until it clicks.
- Do not force the bulb.
Step 4: Repeat on the other side
- Repeat the same removal and installation steps on the second headlight.
- Make sure both bulbs are fully seated and both connectors are locked.
Step 5: Test the lights
- Turn the headlight switch on and check both low beams.
- If equipped, check high beams too.
- Look for a steady, even beam from both sides.

- Close the hood.
- Verify both headlights work with the engine running.
- If one side does not light up, recheck the connector and bulb seating.
- If the beam looks crooked, have the headlight aim checked.
