🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Open the hood and locate the headlight access covers
- Use the hood release inside the cabin, then open the hood.
- Find the rear access area on each headlight housing.
- Work on one side at a time.
Step 2: Remove the rear bulb cover
- Use your hands to twist off the rear dust cover on the headlight housing.
- If it is tight, gently help it with a small flathead screwdriver.
- Set the cover aside in a clean place.
Step 3: Remove the old bulb
- Use your hands to unplug the bulb connector.
- Release the bulb retaining clip if equipped.
- Pull the old bulb straight out without twisting hard.
- Note the bulb orientation before removal.
Step 4: Install the new bulb
- Use gloves to handle the new bulb.
- Insert the bulb into the socket in the same orientation as the old one.
- Reconnect the bulb connector and secure the retaining clip.
- Make sure the bulb sits fully in place.
