ā ļø Safety & Precautions
- ā ļø Turn headlights OFF and remove the key before starting.
- ā ļø Let the bulbs cool fully; they get extremely hot.

šØ Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Identify which bulb style you have (1-bulb or 2-bulb per side)
- Use a flashlight to look at the back of one headlamp.
- If you see one large bulb connector per headlamp, you have a dual-beam bulb (one bulb does high + low).
- If you see two separate bulb connectors per headlamp, you have separate high beam and low beam bulbs (two bulbs per side).
Step 2: (Optional) Make the work area safer
- Use a 10mm socket and 1/4" drive ratchet to loosen the negative battery terminal nut.
- Lift the negative cable off and move it aside so it canāt spring back.
Step 3: Remove the bulb access cover (if equipped)
- From behind the headlamp, use your hand first to twist off the dust cap.
- If a clip or tab is stubborn, use a small flathead screwdriver gently to help release it.
Step 4A: Replace a dual-beam headlight bulb (one bulb per headlamp)
- Put on nitrile gloves.
- Unplug the electrical connector by pressing the lock tab (use a small flathead screwdriver gently if needed).
- Remove the bulb:
- If itās a twist-lock style, rotate the bulb base counterclockwise by hand and pull it out.
- If it uses a metal retaining spring clip (a wire āsnapā that holds the bulb), press and unhook it, then swing it open.
- Install the new bulb:
- Use a clean paper towel to handle the bulb if needed.
- Align the tabs on the bulb base with the housing slots, then seat it fully.
- Lock it in (twist clockwise by hand, or close and latch the spring clip).
- Reconnect the electrical connector until it clicks.
Step 4B: Replace separate low beam and high beam bulbs (two bulbs per headlamp)
- Put on nitrile gloves.
- Do one bulb at a time so connectors donāt get mixed up.
- For each bulb:
- Unplug the connector (use a small flathead screwdriver gently if the lock tab is stuck).
- Remove the bulb (twist counterclockwise by hand, or release the retaining spring clip).
- Install the new bulb by aligning tabs and locking it in place.
- Reconnect the connector until it clicks.
Step 5: Clean the bulb if it was touched
- If your finger touched the glass, put rubbing alcohol (70%+) on a clean paper towel.
- Wipe the glass, then let it fully dry before closing everything up.
Step 6: Reinstall the dust cap / cover
- Reinstall the cap by hand and make sure itās fully sealed to keep moisture out.
Step 7: Repeat on the other side
- Use the flashlight to confirm routing is the same and nothing is pinched.
Step 8: Reconnect the battery (if disconnected)
- Reinstall the negative battery cable and tighten with a 10mm socket and 1/4" drive ratchet.
ā After Repair
- Turn the headlights on and confirm:
- Low beams work on both sides.
- High beams work on both sides.
- No bulb flicker and no ālooseā connector.
- Check that the dust caps are seated to prevent fogging/condensation.
- If the beam looks off, your bulb may not be fully seatedāremove and re-seat it.
