🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps in order:

Step 1: Remove the headlamp retaining pins

• Locate the two vertical retaining pins at the top/rear edge of the headlamp assembly.
• Use needle-nose pliers to pull each pin straight up and out.
• If a pin is stubborn, gently help it up with a small flat-blade screwdriver (don’t force it).
• Set pins aside where they won’t fall.

Step 2: Pull the headlamp assembly forward

• Grip the headlamp assembly and pull it straight forward with your hands.
• If it feels stuck, wiggle it gently while pulling; avoid prying hard on the lens.

Step 3: Remove the old bulb

• From the back of the headlamp, twist the bulb socket counterclockwise by hand to unlock it.
• Pull the bulb/socket straight out.
• Disconnect the electrical connector from the bulb (use needle-nose pliers only if needed, and pull on the connector body, not the wires).

Step 4: Install the new bulb

• With nitrile gloves on, plug the new 9007 bulb into the connector until fully seated.
• Optional: apply a tiny amount of dielectric grease to the connector seal area (a little goes a long way).
• Insert the bulb into the headlamp and align the tabs.
• Twist clockwise by hand until it locks in place.
• If you touched the glass, clean with alcohol.

Step 5: Reinstall the headlamp assembly and pins

• Slide the headlamp assembly straight back into place.
• Reinstall the two retaining pins by pushing them straight down until fully seated.
• Repeat Steps 1-5 for the other side.

• ✅ Turn the headlights ON and verify: low beams, high beams, and both sides working.
• ✅ If a bulb doesn’t light, turn lights OFF and re-check the connector is fully seated.
