Follow these steps in order:

Step 1: Diagnose first

Step 2: Drain fluids and remove access components

• Use a drain pan to remove engine oil and coolant.
• Remove the intake ducting, drive belt, and front engine accessories with the correct metric sockets.

Step 3: Support the engine

Step 4: Remove the timing cover

• Use the correct metric sockets to remove the timing cover bolts.
