🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Raise the front of the car
- Use a floor jack (rated 3-ton minimum) to lift the front of the car.
- Support it with jack stands placed at the proper lift points.
- Chock the rear wheels with wheel chocks.
Step 2: Remove the undertray access panel

Step 3: Drain the engine oil
- Place the drain pan under the oil pan.
- Use the 17mm socket and ratchet to remove the drain plug carefully.
- Let the oil drain completely.
- Install a new drain plug crush washer on the plug.

- Use the oil filter wrench to loosen and remove the filter.
- Make sure the old rubber gasket comes off with the filter.
- Double-check for the old gasket.
Step 5: Install the new oil filter
- Lightly oil the new filter gasket with clean engine oil.
- Spin the new filter on by hand until the gasket touches the base.
- Then tighten it by hand about 3/4 turn more.
- Do not use the wrench to tighten the new filter.
Step 6: Refill with engine oil
- Lower the car to level ground if needed.
- Use a funnel and pour in 5.7 quarts of 0W-20 synthetic engine oil.
- Install the oil filler cap.
Step 7: Check the oil level
