🔧 Engine Oil & Oil Filter - Replacement
Your Tacoma uses a cartridge-style oil filter and a drain plug service. This job is straightforward if you can safely raise the front of the truck and keep the oil level accurate on refill.
Difficulty Level: Beginner | Estimated Time: 1-1.5 hours
⚠️ Safety & Precautions
- Let the engine warm up only enough to drain easier; hot oil can burn skin.
- Support the truck with jack stands; never work under a vehicle held up by a jack alone.
- Use gloves and safety glasses. Oil will drip from the filter housing and drain plug.
- Keep the engine off during the entire service.
- Dispose of used oil and filter properly at a recycling center.
