🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps in order:

Step 1: Open the Hood

• Use your hand to pull the hood release inside the driver footwell.
• Use your hand to release the hood safety latch at the front center of the hood.
• Raise the hood and secure it with the hood support struts.

Step 2: Locate the Front Turn Signal Socket

• Use a flashlight to look behind the headlamp assembly.
• Find the turn signal bulb socket at the outer/front corner of the headlamp housing.
• The socket is usually gray or black plastic with wiring attached.
• Work on one side at a time.

Step 3: Create More Hand Room if Needed

• On the passenger side, use your hand to move flexible intake ducting aside if it blocks access.
• If a plastic cover or push clip blocks access, use a plastic trim clip removal tool to lift the clip center.
• Use a flat-blade screwdriver only if the clip is stubborn, and pry gently to avoid breaking it.
• Set clips aside where they will not roll away.

Step 4: Remove the Bulb Socket

• Use your hand to grip the turn signal bulb socket.
• Twist the socket counterclockwise about a quarter turn.
• Pull the socket straight out of the headlamp housing.
• Do not pull on the wires.

Step 5: Remove the Old Bulb

• Use nitrile gloves to grip the old bulb.
• Pull the bulb straight out of the socket.
• If it is stuck, gently wiggle it side to side while pulling.
• Do not crush the glass bulb.

Step 6: Install the New Bulb

• Use nitrile gloves to hold the new front turn signal bulb amber 7444NA.
• Push the bulb straight into the socket until fully seated.
• Do not touch the glass with bare fingers.
• Clean fingerprints with alcohol if touched.

Step 7: Reinstall the Socket

• Use a flashlight to line up the socket tabs with the headlamp opening.
• Insert the socket straight into the housing.
• Twist the socket clockwise about a quarter turn until it locks.
• There is no torque spec for this socket. Hand-tight only.

Step 8: Repeat on the Other Side

• Use the same steps to replace the other front turn signal bulb.
• Use the plastic trim clip removal tool if any access clips need to be removed.
• Reinstall any clips or covers you moved earlier by pressing them back into place by hand.

Step 9: Test the Turn Signals

• Use your hand to switch the ignition to ON without starting the engine.
• Activate the left turn signal and confirm the front left bulb flashes.
• Activate the right turn signal and confirm the front right bulb flashes.
• Turn on the hazard lights and confirm both front bulbs flash evenly.
