How to Replace Windshield Wiper Blades on a 2012-2015 Honda Crosstour: Step-by-Step Guide
🧽 Crosstour - Windshield Wiper Blade Replacement
Changing your wiper blades is a quick and easy job! Here’s how to do it safely and correctly.
- 🛠️ Tools & Parts Needed:
- New wiper blades (Driver: 26", Passenger: 22")
- Small flathead screwdriver (optional, for stubborn clips)
- Soft towel (to protect your windshield)
- ⚠️ Safety Tips:
- Turn off your Crosstour and remove the key.
- Lift the wiper arm gently—don’t let it snap back, as it can crack your windshield.
- Place a towel on the glass under the wiper arm for extra protection.
🔧 Step-by-Step Instructions
- 🪛 Lift the wiper arm away from the windshield until it stays up on its own.
- 🔎 Find the release tab where the blade connects to the arm. It’s a small plastic lever or button.
- 👆 Press the tab and slide the old blade downward (toward the base of the arm) to unhook it.
- 🔄 Remove the old blade completely.
- 🆕 Attach the new blade by sliding it onto the arm’s hook until it clicks into place. You may hear or feel a “click.”
- ⬇️ Lower the wiper arm gently back onto the windshield.
- 🔁 Repeat for the other wiper.
- 💧 Test your new wipers by spraying washer fluid and running them for a few swipes.
💡 Tips & Tricks
- 📝 Change both wipers at the same time for best results.
- 🧼 Wipe the windshield clean before installing new blades.
- 🔍 If the new blade feels loose, double-check that it’s fully clicked in.
