📋 Before You Begin

• Park on level ground and set the parking brake.
• Turn the HVAC system off.
• Open the glove box and remove any items inside.

🔨 Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps in order:

Step 1: Open the glove box fully

• Use your hands to lower the glove box and clear out any contents.
• Support it gently so it does not drop hard.

Step 2: Release the glove box stops

• Push in on both sides of the glove box to release the side stops.
• Let the glove box swing down farther until it hangs open.
• Go slow to avoid breaking the tabs.

Step 3: Remove the cabin filter access cover

• Use a Phillips screwdriver if your cover has retaining screws.
• Remove the access cover from behind the glove box.
• Set the screws aside safely if equipped.

Step 4: Remove the old cabin air filter

• Pull the old filter straight out of the housing.
• Note the airflow arrow direction printed on the filter frame.

Step 5: Install the new cabin air filter

• Insert the new filter with the airflow arrow pointing in the same direction as the old one.
• Make sure the filter sits flat and fully seated in the housing.
• Do not bend the filter frame.

Step 6: Reinstall the access cover and glove box

• Reinstall the access cover by hand first, then snug the screws with the Phillips screwdriver if equipped.
• Lift the glove box back into place and snap the side stops back in.
• Close the glove box and make sure it opens and closes normally.
