šØ Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1: Lift the wiper arms safely
- Use your hands (no tools) to lift one wiper arm up away from the windshield until it stays up.
- Place a clean microfiber towel on the windshield under the arm as extra protection.
- Hold the arm anytime the blade is off.
Step 2: Identify the connector type
- Look where the blade meets the arm. Most Tucson front blades use a J-hook connector (the arm end looks like a āJā).
- If you see a squeeze tab or push button, you may have a pinch-tab/push-button style.
- Weāll cover both styles below.
Step 3: Remove the old blade (J-hook style)
- Rotate the blade so itās about 90° to the arm (use your hands).
- Press the small release tab on the blade adapter using your thumb, or use the small flathead screwdriver (3 mm tip) gently if itās stiff.
- Slide the blade down toward the open end of the āJā and unhook it.
Step 4: Remove the old blade (pinch-tab or push-button style)
- Press the side tabs together with your fingers, or press the button using the small flathead screwdriver (3 mm tip) if needed.
- Slide the blade straight off the arm.
Step 5: Install the new blade
- Confirm sizes before installing: 24" driver side and 16" passenger side.
- For J-hook: hook the new blade onto the arm, then pull it up until you hear/feel a click.
- For pinch-tab/push-button: slide the new blade on until it clicks and wonāt pull back off.
- Gently tug on the blade (by hand) to confirm itās locked.
Step 6: Lower the arm and repeat on the other side
- Carefully lower the wiper arm back onto the windshield using your handādo not let it drop.
- Repeat Steps 1ā5 for the other front wiper blade.
- Remove the painterās tape (1 in.) from the windshield.

- š§“ Clean the windshield and wiper rubber with washer fluid.
- šæ Start your Tucson and test the wipers on low speed with washer spray.
- š If you see streaks, recheck that each blade āclickedā fully onto the arm.
